On a wide Inglewood street the truck and the dumpster both fit in the driveway. Down here that's rarely an option. Lots are small, driveways narrow, so the dumpster goes street-side and we knock on doors the day before. A sloppy tear-off lands in somebody else's yard, and word travels on these blocks.
Stock is mostly little 1950s stucco homes on low-pitch comp shingle, plus plenty of two-story apartments carrying dead-flat mod-bit. We come in off Imperial, Century or Long Beach Blvd, so the blocks the 105 cut apart in the eighties are minutes from our yard. Same near St. Francis Medical Center.

Where does the dumpster go if I have no driveway room?
At the curb in front of your house, on boards, with the crew sweeping and running a magnet over the street each evening. We'll talk to the neighbors either side first so nobody gets boxed in.
Do you do the flat mod-bit roofs on apartment buildings too?
Yes. Flat and low-slope work is a big part of what we do around here, on duplexes and larger buildings, alongside shingle.
