Staging a tear-off here is about as easy as it gets in LA County. Flat ground, and the streets off Rosecrans and Alondra are wide enough to drop a dumpster without eating a lane. The 91 and the 710 box the city in, so we time material loads around the morning crush on Central.
The housing stock drives everything else. Those 1950s stucco ranches are mostly on their third or fourth roof, so once the layers come off we're often looking at split sheathing and a re-deck. Out in Richland Farms the job's usually bigger than the house — barns and stables on the same lot. Long Beach Blvd is 1960s apartments on flat cap-sheet, a different animal.
Working the old tracts around Compton Creek
My house already has two layers. Can you go over the top again?
No. Code caps you at two, and at that age the decking usually needs attention anyway. We tear off, check the sheathing, then build back up.
Do you roof barns and outbuildings too?
Yes. On the Richland Farms lots we'll price the house, the stable and any shed in one go, and we work around livestock being on site.
